my thighs look a bit chunky in tights this pale, so i might layer them up with another pair underneath or throw on my trusty 80 denier opaques to slim them down a little. im still wondering whether to try this outfit with leggings instead of grey tights, i'm still not 100% convinced i can carry it off, although it is quite a cool look. i'm thinking of working it with smoky smudgy eyes, pale lips and fantastically big hair, and a lot of jewellery, and possibly my grey skinny belt, if i can persuade my dad to drill a few holes into it because its still too loose!
at the time of buying my grey tights, i went super-enthusiastic and bought some leopard-print ones too. now these i really am not sure about at all. they look great on some people, i'm not sure if that shortlist includes me! maybe its because i couldn't think of anything overly original to wear with them and basically wore the same as above, only with a cream cardigan instead of a grey one..
(cardigan - primark, vest - topshop, lace skirt - primark, leopard tights - h&m, ankle boots - primark)
i'm just not sure i'm confident enough to pull this off, so i think i'll go with the grey theme for saturday night. its just the right mix, the cardigan and the tights make it demure, the skirt spices it up because it shows so much leg, the boots are so on-trend it hurts and so are the colour of the tights. perfect!
monday night is also a big night, its a battle of the bands in town - i'm going to support my lovely brave friends who are giving it a go. after its finished, we're all heading out for a night on the tiles, something we haven't all done together since my birthday back in july! i was thinking this would be a cool enough outfit..
(cardigan - topman, cassette top - h&m, bodycon skirt - h&m, ankle boots - primark)
seriously, i'm wearing these boots so much i think i'm going to go back to primark and buy a replacement pair because these one's won't last long if i carry on like this! i'm also finding a lot of me-vintage lately, you know when you discover things in drawers that you'd completely forgotten you had?? the cassette-print top above is a prime example. i bought it about eighteen months ago, when i still lived in london, in the h&m in covent garden or thereabouts. it was only about £7.99 and i wore it to death until i moved, when everything was packed away and i forgot i had it. i love the whole monochrome thing and it goes with everything, plus the pattern makes it cool and quirky. maybe i'd better go and root through some more drawers and see what other old gems fall out...!
