organisation... or lack of

i had a day off college again today, but still woke up at six. i think the silly part of me forgot there was no college today and set my alarm anyway. oh dear. but waking up early, i thought i may as well do something decent with the day. but i didn't. oops. i just did some random organising and sorting of some old clothes that are going straight to a charity shop or a bootsale (ebay won't let me open an account, being under 18!!) and then experimenting with makeup. i really was this bored..

i normally don't do anything to do with makeup on a day off, but i wanted to try out some seriously smoky eyes in case of a date popping up unexpectedly (here's hoping...) the whole smudgy effect was quite nice, don't think the picture quite carried it over but never mind. definitely looks more moody when my fringe is down and in my eyes, just where i like it. spent the afternoon reading the new issue of Elle and tucking into tea and biscuits, my complete guilty pleasure. i'm just like my nan...

i did do something slightly productive today though. i phoned my 'manager' (as he likes to be called) and organised a spur-of-the-moment gig for saturday night. so that gives me an extra week to pluck up the guts to ask lewis to go for a drink, and an extra few pounds to spend in topshop ^_^ oh the woes... and i also managed to get some study notes done for my appreciation of music class. writing all the ins and outs of 'i heard it through the grapevine' by marvin gaye. definitely not a bad task, methinks. then i spent some of this evening surfing the web in the hope of finding a four-lens lomography camera, and managed to find one on ebay for a wondeful £10.50, including postage, on buy it now. shall be snapping that one up asap...!

i would post outfit pics but there really isn't much point, i spent the day in my trusty grey skinny jeans and a lovely cosy oversized sweater. perfect. but now i will be a little organisational, and write myself a to-do list for the next week. my love of lists and memos is overwhelming sometimes, please tell me i'm not alone...?

• put some backing tracks on a cd and copy out lyrics for susan
• organise my wardrobe (again!)
• organise shoes and accessories, properly this time
• get my marvin gaye essay written and word-perfect by tuesday
• practice, practice, practice for saturday night
• sort out an outfit for saturday night
• choose and buy a halloween outfit
• buy that lomography camera
• buy a good man's checked shirt, like this, to wear with my shorts and ankle boots
• find the guts to actually ask lewis on a date!!!!

i really think i might need a little longer than a week though... wish me luck!
