(grey cardigan, burgundy cardigan, both primark)
i headed downstairs in there, just for a nosy at the so-cheap-it-hurts shoes, when i spotted the shoes i've been looking for in my heart of hearts for months. i can't believe i found them in primark, of all places, and for only £12!!! they're obviously not real leather, but the patent finish is so good they could pass for it. and the heels aren't stupidly high, so i can wear them to college and not die from the pain. i even had to get them a size smaller than i usually am, so i got a free ego boost with them!!
(mock-leather ankle boots, primark)
they're so beautiful on, i just want to dance around in them all the time!! i also found wonders in h&m, which doesn't really happen all that often. this beautiful grey bodycon skirt leapt out at me and was a perfect fit, and only cost £10!! it will look fantastic with the boots.

i made a resolution today to finally spend the last of the oasis voucher that's been saved on my purse for months. i already spent £30 of it on a printed prom dress, a bangle and a necklace, but i still had £20. and i found these gorgeous navy and white leather ballerina flats, the last pair in my size, dead on the target at £20. they are a great fit and a wonderful soft leather, i was nearly prancing around in them. two pairs of perfect shoes in a day? unheard of before now.

i swear to you, i was determined to not spend anymore money, like i've already promised myself five times in the past month. but then i had half an hour until the bus and i passed accessorize and couldn't resist a peek. i've always had a soft spot for anything with a bit of a french vibe and i fell in love with this adorable gold chain, with an eiffel tower pendant. and it was only £4!

and i did it again, when i spotted this keyring on the stand next to the till. it so reminded me of london and being back there that i just felt the need for it. its not often i buy kitsch things like keyrings but sometimes you need a little reminder of where you came from, even if you know you're never going back. the picture's very blurry, but its an enamel painting of big ben, with a red bus driving by. i didn't photograph the back, but its like a postcard, stamped with 'wish you were here'. i sometimes wish i was back there. so £5 seemed a small price to pay for something that will fill me with heartfelt memories every time i look at it!

so all in all, its been a very productive (if expensive!) day, but i promise, i won't go shopping again for at least the next fortnight. or so i hope...
