as i wrote about before, my money from college was messed up again before i went away and one night's work was cancelled, meaning i was extremely short on holiday money! top marks to my wonderful and generous cousin who paid for pretty much everything while we were away! it's such a shame i couldn't go extreme shopping, as the perfume, jewellery and clothes in gibraltar are extremely cheap because they are all tax-free! however, i did manage to buy myself a few scarce goodies, just to perk myself up..
i bought three amazingly cute long chain pendant necklaces! the first one pictured is a solid apple with really detailed engraved leaves (that my crappy camera and awful lighting couldn't pick up) and the second is a bunch of keys, which are really dinky and cute. the third one is my favourite and i've worn it so much i haven't taken a photo of it yet! it's a darker, chunkier chain and the pendant is an amazing old-fashioned gilded handmirror! it's beautiful, and very very handy for checking for food in teeth and smudged lipstick-moments! and i got all three for the fabulous price of.... £5!!!
since i've been back (since wednesday night) i've really had to get my bum in gear with my christmas shopping. i went yesterday and bought everything apart from two presents for my two best friends - they should have been the easiest people to buy for and i couldn't find anything! after much mm-ing and ahh-ing, i decided on a watch for my boyfriend, what do you think?
hopefully he likes it, but he's so fussy! i got him a few extra cheeky little things too, just to perk him up a bit..!
and i treated myself in a very small way... i bought some brilliant red bedsocks from primark, with pompoms and an ace knitted pattern, very christmas-jumper style. i didn't actually know they were bedsocks until i got them home, i was a bit upset, i wanted to wear them out! and i bought a new umbrella... not very exciting but it is a very pretty umbrella! and i found the perfect nudey-pink alexa chung-style lipstick too, for a steal at £2. i don't buy cheap makeup like powders, foundation and eye cosmetics because i have quite sensitive skin, but i don't mind with lipsticks and glosses because they come off so easily anyway, its pointless buying a very expensive one! but this is a perfect colour and it doesn't dry out your lips! it's by the boots natural collection range, and its a moisture shine lipstick in 'rose petal'. i've been searching on the boots website for a photo but it doesn't seem to have one, gutted!
anyway, i should stop rambling now!!! normal service will be back on soon!
