tis the season to be jolly

i hope everyone had a magical christmas!! i began the celebrations on christmas eve, with an extremely tipsy night out with my boyfriend and our close friends.... the fact that that is pretty much all i remember about the evening speaks for itself i think!!! my camera is still refusing to work and is hopeless at the minute, but i wore a floral tea dress and thick thick tights, with my vintage slouch boots.

I tried on a beautiful French Connection dress on Christmas Eve, it was in a sports shop of all places! It was a navy silk shift dress and was £110 reduced to a truly wonderful £20, and i had my heart set! they only had two sizes, both of which i normally fit into without a problem. however, on this occasion, neither fitted well enough for me to buy it, which i was devastated about!!! but what is meant to be is meant to be...

Christmas Day was not a success, unfortunately. I was so, so ill that I couldn't even eat a mouthful of my Christmas dinner...!! And it wasn't even a hangover, honestly!! but my christmas presents did make me feel quite a bit better: lots and lots of vouchers and cash, lots of perfume, a new pink ipod and, my personal favourite, a beautiful white gold and diamond heart pendant from my boyfriend, among other presents from him. as soon as i can i will post photos, but for now its not leaving my neck! he loved the watch i wrote about before, if anyone was wondering!

Boxing Day was welcomed (naaaaat....) with yet more illness, the most horrific headache i have ever experienced!! but after lots of paracetamol (and a hefty dose of severe boredom!) i deemed myself fit enough to spend another night out, after missing out on Christmas Day!! i wore my black French Connection dress and the slouchy boots again to keep cosy, and felt a lot better for it!

Saturday night was especially nice because, for once, it was just me and my boyfriend. We have a lot of mutual friends and we never seem to get a lot of time alone, so this week will be a bit of a treat. Most of our friends are away to Aviemore to see in the New Year for the whole week. It was booked back in August as a couples-only thing, hence the reason why me and my boyfriend aren't going. But we neither of us feel like having a quiet New Year and are contemplating driving up to Aviemore on Wednesday afternoon as a surprise, and driving back in the afternoon on New Year's Day. Hopefully it will all work out!!

But back to Saturday, I wore a black button vest with my ever-faithful cream gap skirt, a black Ted Baker shrinkfit cardigan, black tights and my beloved but hopelessy underworn cream mary-janes. After a few tipples I found it a LOT harder to walk in them...!!

Today was meant to be spent with a trip to the cinema, a wander around the shops and dinner out, but it seems my boyfriend drank rather a lot more than I did and was far too sick to crawl out of bed this morning, typical!! So tomorrow I am going to brave the sales alone and see if I can find anything that takes my fancy!!
