The Rules: list 7 songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now, shaping your Summer (or Winter as it is for me). Post these instructions in your blog along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they're listening to.
lykke li - little bit
oh my god, her voice is just enchanting, its how you would imagine a fairy or something to sound. this song is just so sweet and innocent and pretty, perfect for putting makeup on to, dressing up or staring into space, thinking about someone lovely...
the kills - last day of magic
ahhh vv's voice is mesmerising. this song is so catchy and brilliant, it really inspires me for outfits when i hear it, i'm not sure why but it makes me feel cool and tough haha!
tracy chapman - fast car
it's beautiful. so pained and sad and effortless, her voice is like velvet and the lyrics are so emotive, especially when they're paired with such a gentle acoustic backing. the story the song tells is heartbreaking and the imagery it creates is stunning.
bob dylan - love minus zero/no limit
bob dylan is a legend. this song is lovely. the story is great, its about a man who puts his girlfriend above everything else, above everyone else, although he reveals at the end she is vulnerable and far from perfect. its such a powerful love song!
kings of leon - king of the rodeo
ahh it makes me want to throw on some cowboy boots and dance! i love caleb followill's scratchy vocals and the syncopated guitar is great for making you smile. my favourite kings of leon song!!!
jeff buckley - hallelujah
for reasons i won't divulge, this song is the one song i will never feel blank listening to. it's just perfection, nothing i've heard compares to this. if you've never heard it, you have no idea what you're missing out on, seriously.
night :)

I'm completely in love with that Lykke Li song, it's wonderful. If you've not seen it yet, I heartily recommend heading over to youtube to look up her performance of the same song on Later with Jools Holland. Absolutely spellbinding.
