time for today's proper post now :) i was so bored earlier, i had to do that little quiz thing while i was stuck in pc passport. who needs to make floor plans on a music course, honestly?? but after a boring day at college, i managed to head into town and purchase a few essentials, ie, concealer and stuff. i use a really cheap concealer but its the best one i've ever bought. its called illuminating touch and its £4.99 from collection 2000. its honestly even better than the £22 i spent on a yves saint laurent touche eclat. promise :)
and then i headed into my favourite (and pretty much only!) vintage store in aberdeen - retrospect - and bought this amazing purple chiffon blouse for £7! i was inspired after seeing elisabeth (thrills and frills) wearing one on a night out.
the picture doesn't really convey how vivid the colour of the blouse is - its really a bright, dark purple, if that makes sense. it will look great with my ted baker skirt or my grey bodycon skirt from h&m, and my lovely shiny ankle boots. now i have to decide whether to wear it tomorrow for my first gig in ages, or to wait until we have a decent night out set up..! i also had to head into primark and stock up on a few skin-coloured nude bras to wear underneath sheer tops like these - really don't need all and sundry to be seeing my underwear without cause!
i also got back into my old ways and was proud of myself for heading into waterstone's and picking up a copy of 'tess of the d'urbervilles' by thomas hardy. i read it years ago, when i was about thirteen, but i've been watching the bbc's adaptation and it reminded me how melancholy and gripping a story it was. i had to buy the limited edition cover, if only to stare at the beautiful gemma arterton on the front! she can be my a/w08 muse, without a doubt!
and then i really made some use of my time and did what i've been meaning to do for a while - decorate my boring brown college notebooks. here is the fruits of my labour...
not bad for ten minutes' work eh? i've been snipping pictures out of elle and glamour for weeks. my particular favourite is the kate moss photo on the top right, where she's sipping coffee and smoking a cigarette. she just looks amazing, her hair is like a work of art and i love her dirty smudgy eyes! how can anyone look so amazing, all the damn time??
but now i should go, i need to choose an outfit for tomorrow night and do a re-run of my seriously smudgy eyes as well, and i need to write up my appreciation of music class essay as well. night! x
