i had possibly one of the most fun saturday nights ever... and to think i was working at the same time! the crowd in the pub last night was small but they really are the nicest people, i don't even feel like a separate person, i just feel like one of the crowd who gets up and sings a bit. most of them were very very drunk by 9.30, when i started, so they were dancing about all over the place, really helped to boost my confidence! and i spent most of the evening in the arms of lovely kevin and his adorable beaky nose... good times ahead maybe?? last night's outfit:
(chiffon blouse - vintage, skinny jeans - moto @ topshop)
one of the simplest outfits i've worn in a long time, but i was getting compliments on my blouse all night. apparently primark are selling a really similar one, so i'm glad mine is a one-off. i didn't take a photo of my makeup last night but i was really pleased with it, i did purple and black smoky eyes to match my outfit - sounds very weird but it looked great, i looked completely different!
and then today, after i woke up (gone 12!!!) i decided to head into town and have a mooch about, intending to only buy things from charity shops to be thrifty. i'm ashamed to say i failed miserably. the only good thing i saw in a charity shop was a cream lace laura ashley shrug, which would have been perfect, had it not been four sizes too big and sewn onto a stained, shrunken beige vest. eurgh. but i did buy a man's black cardigan from topman, just the right size, all baggy and comfy. a steal in the midseason sale, at £6! it looked brilliant in the changing room, so i'm so pleased!
(cardigan - topman, feet - my own)
i also bought a black bodycon skirt from h&m, exactly the same as my grey one, for £9.99. my ted baker one is lovely, but it's very fancy and sparkly, and far too fussy for daytime.
(bodycon skirt - h&m)
then i went into gap and was seduced by the everlasting (or so it seems..) sale! i bought two of the same top, just in different colours, only £6.99 each! they're a lovely heavy cotton and i adore the cute puffed sleeves - they'll look perfect with jeans or with a bodycon skirt! i bought one in navy blue and one in a rich red wine colour, but my camera hasn't seemed to pick this up too well..
(cotton tops - both gap)
i also made some small purchases of:
- some seamless panties to go underneath tight skirts - vpl is a nightmare!!
- original source orange and almond body scrub - sheer heaven!
- some leopard-print tights
- some navy blue tights
- and a marks and spencer sandwich for a yummy lunch!!
