it sounds a little silly to be a bit scared of wearing something so common, but it was quite a big thing for me, especially as wearing heels in the daytime makes me feel pretty self-conscious because i am quite tall. it doesn't really help that all the boys at college are quite short for men - they're all about the same height as me or shorter, there's only one boy over six foot! - and they always comment on how tall i am when i wear heels, which only adds to my awkwardness! but char at fashion squeah! posted today about wearing heels and i totally feel the same way - i am determined to be more confident about being tall and walking confidently in huge heels throughout next year. 2009 is officially the year of the heel, wish me luck...!

Aww thanks so much for mentioning me! I know exactly how you feel, about being tall and feeling awkward in heels and it's something I'm trying hard to get over! How tall are you, by the way? I'm nearly 5 11"! I also feel the same about "leggings as trousers", I like the look on other people but I don't think I'd ever go for it myself, in fact I have that exact same H&M top (but in navy/green) and I hadn't even considered wearing it without trousers or a skirt before! I'm happy to find another tall blogger, they all seem to be so teeny! Char x
I'm familiar with the emergency shorts - I'm always sticking them on under too-short dresses (ie dresses which are fine on anyone else but indecent on me!). You are lucky to be mostly leg, for some reason I'm mostly body, very annoying! I know the big feet thing too well, but at least it means in the sales our size isn't the first to go! Char x
