which left me a whole hour to wander about town and think lustily of the things i could buy with my hard-earned (ahem!) money... and the shops came up trumps! i've had a £50 oasis voucher sat in my purse since my birthday in july, and haven't found a thing in oasis i'd actually want to wear, apart from those beautiful 'joseph' shoeboots, that were just plain uncomfortable. but they're having a mid-season sale at the moment, and, if like me, you're not a general oasis shopper, it's still worth a look. the stuff they can drag out from nowhere is immense! i was looking through the sale rail and came across this lovely 'lily lane' dress that i'd spotted in the spring collection, but hadn't been able to afford, at £80. it's perfect for a wedding, so it's handy i've got one of those coming up, even if it's more of a spring/summer dress. i fell in love straightaway with the print, it's a beautiful yellow and green lily print, and apparently the whole dress is based on an original vintage design from a dress in bath museum. fancy! i was just especially pleased when it fitted like a glove, because it had been reduced to the tear-inducing price of £15!!
(lily lane dress, £15, oasis sale)
with a bit more time to kill, i also managed to pick up this pretty and vintage-looking gypsy-style necklace, and this lovely enamelled chunky bangle. i'm not really much of a jewellery buyer, or i never used to be, but i think i was just consoling myself at not being able to find the pretty antler necklace every other topshop but mine were selling.
(chunky enamel bangle, £6, oasis)
(gypsy charm necklace, £6, oasis sale)
and on a quick trip to primark (again!!!) i just picked up some more lovely thick black tights and a few pairs of leggings, but i couldn't resist a mustard-yellow skinny belt, it would look great with the lily dress, and i couldn't help myself to this gorgeous swallow necklace, for only £2!
(swallow chain, £2, primark)
but i woke up late again this morning so i couldn't really put much thought into my outfit, plus the hangover was horrendous, as you can probably see!!
(dress, £65, french connection. necklace, £2, primark. boots (not shown), £60, topshop)
apologies for the messy photo, i just couldn't face making the bed!!
